Massage Therapy

Aqua massage offers our clients of all ages the benefits of a hands-on massage plus the therapeutic benefits of heat and pulsation water. The combined effects of heat with the water pressure can have a remarkable impact on the body and mind helping reduce stress, soreness, pain, muscle spasms, muscle tension, arthritis and symptoms of fibromyalgia as well as increasing blood circulation, levels of energy, improving sleep and detoxifying the body. Aqua massage provides all the benefits of Dry hydrotherapy, Dry Heat Therapy and massage therapy all in one and it only takes 10-20 minutes to feel deeply relaxed. Aqua massage is also a great finishing touch to those who practice sports and fitness because it releases muscle soreness, increases blood circulation and energizes the body by stimulation the pressure points and releasing endorphins.

Cell Regeneration & Microcirculation

Among the chronic and age-related diseases that benefit from its anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing properties: Rheumatory diseases, arthritis, osteoporosis, migraines and other headaches, general pain, sleep disorders, asthma, high and low blood pressure, diabetes, heart and cardiovascular disturbances, etc.

Lymphatic Stimulation

Improves muscle strength and performance, increased flexibility and range of motion, enhanced blood oxygenation and lymph drainage, increased bone density, increase of happiness hormones serotonin and neutrophine, decreased cortisol, accelerate weight loss, reduced lower back pain, enhanced pain reduction, etc. Therefore has therapeutic benefits for back pain, osteoporosis, Parkinson's, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes, obesity, etc.

Neuropathy Relief

Neuropathy is a problem with the nerves, usually the "peripheral nerves" as opposed to the "central nervous system". Our non-invasive light therapy treatment of low intensity initiates analgesic, anti-inflammatory and bio stimulatory effects, resulting in an increase in local microcirculation and increased healing. Increased microcirculation induces an essential function in the tissue repair process and in pain control. This process allows for the expulsion of metabolic byproducts, which may contribute to reduce pain and inflammation. Furthermore, it stimulates repair and regrowth of the nerve tissue which help greatly to reduce pain and increase sensation in the extremities, diminish needs for medications therefore avoiding unpleasant side effects. The best part of our treatment is that you only need 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week for you to start feeling the results. There is no known cure for Neuropathy but with our system we can greatly reduce the discomfort and pain.

Meet Our Staff

Sylvia Carter, PhD has been in the medical/oncology field for over 45 years. She moved to California right out of high school in pursuit of becoming a attorney. She attended Southwest for two years but soon realized that it was not her true passion. She then switched career into the health care industry. She attended, and graduated from California State Dominguez Hills with her Bachelors Degree receiving her ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), CRT (Certified Radiologic Technology) and RTT (Radiation Therapy Technologist). Sylvia Carter started working as an X-ray technician at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana. Shorty after she decided she wanted to be more involved with her patients and counsel, she then received her PhD in psychology. Sylvia then worked as a radiation therapist at different hospitals including Kansas City Medical Center in Kansas, St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, South Bay Hospital in Torrance and Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. Sylvia still wanted to be closer to her patients, so in 1990 she decided to start working for a small private oncology facility with a more intimate environment. Here she was able to establish a better understanding of her patients and their needs. She worked as a radiation therapist as well as a hyperthermia technician assisting her cancer patients as they go into remission. This is where Sylvia learned more about alternative medicine and how effective it is, especially when combined with traditional Western medicine. In 2016 Sylvia Carter banded together with like minded associates and started Nature's Bridge, in Torrance California. A facility where she can offer alternative treatments that coincide with other doctor's traditional medicine.

Susana Pangan was born in Manila, Philippines. Growing up she always dreamed of being a doctor and helping people in need. Susana attended the University of Sto. Tomas and is a Foreign Medical Graduate from class 1981. She also became a Licensed Medical doctor in the Philippines and then specialized as a dermatologist. In 2002 Susana came into the United States and worked as a clinical research coordinator for 10 years. Susana also worked in family medicine, general medicine, surgery and cosmetic dermatology for over six years. In 2007 she started working at a thermoradiotherapy oncology facility, where she had a chance to care for and treat and counsel cancer patients as they went through alternative and traditional therapies for cancer. This is where Susana developed more and more interest in alternative way to treat patients. Susana joined the Nature's Bridge treatment team in 2016, to contribute her knowledge and experience to help all her patients develop healthy lifestyles, the natural way.

Griselda T. Garcia, LVN received her experience from Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Monterey Park Hospital, Little Company of Mary Sub-Acute Care Center, Country Villa Rehabilitation Center, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center and Brotman Medical Center. Shortly after her graduation, in 2007 Griselda started working at a private oncology facility alongside with Sylvia Carter, treating and counseling cancer patients as they went through both radiation and hyperthermia treatments. This is where Griselda developed more skills in treating her patients alternatively. She continues to bring her nursing knowledge and combine it with alternative medicine to continue helping patients at Nature's Bridge.
